It started out as a feeling

What quote am I vibing? "It started out as a feeling, which then grew into a hope. Which then turned into a quiet thought - which then turned into a quiet word. And then that word grew louder and louder - 'Til it was a battle cry. I'll come back - when you call me. No need to say goodbye." Regina Spektor (a song I never heard until tonight that was apparently featured in Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. It might have made me cry...SOB...)

Road Day: 74

If you haven't gotten the memo yet, I'm not CRAZY for cities. I'm more of a put me in the middle of nature, and I'll hide if I hear people approaching kind of girl, so when a city is on-point with its green spaces, this makes me very happy. Houston is that for sure. I keep finding beautiful new spaces.

Today I spent a couple hours exploring Discovery Green and reading. It was hard to pick a spot to read. I could have plopped down under a tree on a green, sat next to a fountain, found a shady bench. Ultimately, I perched at a table by an artsy little building thing. This is such an amazing example of an urban park - interesting art installations, lots of cool spaces for kids to play and run, dog runs, trails for runners, two dining options, clean restrooms, a different free exercise class daily.

I walked up to Lone Star Taco Co via Minute Maid Park to snag the picture I forgot to get on Saturday, and had the BEST QUESO EVER.

Now I'm back home and taking in news about Hurricane Michael - distressing how devastating it has been so far. Waiting to see what happens and where before making plans for my final leg home. Love to all.

The Heart at Discovery Green

This mosaic pop up is actually where I came out of the parking garage, oddly!

Where my ⚾❤️ lives!

No joke. Best queso ever.
