My team

What quote am I vibing? "I'm not going to lie to you - it feels good to get 200 hits, but I just wanted to help my team win." Jose Altuve (2015)

Road Day: 70

Stadiums Visited this Trip: 4 (Minute Maid Stadium, Houston)

If you ever asked me what my plan was for my return trip to Florida, I probably said some variation of the following "I'm not sure, but if the Astros are in postseason, I'm going to see them play in Houston." Today, that prediction and dream came true. I got to see Jose Altuve in playoffs at home. Oh my goodness.

But let's start at the beginning of the day. Before I left San Antonio area, I stopped by Natural Bridge Caverns State Park and took the Hidden Passages tour with Juan. It's been a long time since I've been in a wet cave. With the stalactites and the stalagmites. If you ask me, it's a little weird. They look like they should be on the set of Fraggle Rock or something. But fascinating that such things just happen in the world. Literally under our feet sometimes, unbeknownst to us.

After the tour, even though I was ahead of schedule, I headed straight to Houston - excited to get myself to the stadium with plenty of time to exist and explore. And have tacos. And get a teeny tiny bite of merch.

The game was amazing, and it was overwhelming to be in the stadium. Yes, it was air-conditioned (which was ah-mazing), but my goosebumps usually had more to do with baseball and being in the space where my favorite baseball player spends so much time than the cool breeze. This was also my first playoff game - I always am engaged and excited about baseball, but never have I seen such a huge crowd, on its feet for almost the entire last 5 innings.

I am so happy that all the cards fell into place for this to happen for me. I have had so many wonderful experiences on this trip. I can't valuate them by how much they've meant to me or how much they've changed me - but I can tell you this was one was highly planned out, and completely worth the effort. #neversettle

Minute Maid Park - the most beautiful and comfortable stadium I have ever visited.

The "organ" in the Cathedral Room.

They freak me out.

Happy girl in her happy place.

I was happy to snag this ticket on the lower level at a great price despite the obstructed view. Not taking into account that my man would sometimes be obstructed. But usually he was right there in my view.

Merch, yo. I could have cropped out that guy's leg, but I don't have the energy. Maybe in an edit.
