One touch of nature

What quote am I vibing? "One touch of nature makes the whole world kin." William Shakespeare

Road Day: 21

Audiobooks finished: 2 (Unbearable Lightness: A Story of Loss and Gain by Portia de Rossi)

National Parks visited: 2 (Cuyahoga Valley National Park)

Today, I finished half a day of work and I am officially on my journey west! I drove about 5 hours to Sagamore Hills, Ohio. I mentioned before that I would be staying here -- I still haven't found out if the name has any ties to Theodore Roosevelt's Long Island Estate, Sagamore Hill, but I did confirm that there was a name change around 1930. I think I'll call the township office on Monday and see if they can give me some additional information because I am endlessly curious. Either way - I'm here - Sagamore Hills. And Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This park is beautiful, and I have had such a positive experience here in the area.

I arrived in town a little bit earlier than anticipated, so I popped into the park at "The Octagon" and snapped a few shots near the Ledges. Gorgeous rock cliffs and niches. I am looking forward to exploring the park more in the morning.

My very cool airbnb hosts (long distance bikers) suggested a yummy place to eat - Tinker's Creek Tavern where I enjoyed a delicious meal and drink and made friends at the bar. Now with some Sleepytime tea and good conversation with my hosts to put me in a relaxed mood, I will go to sleep early - tomorrow is a long and exciting day! Can't wait to share it with you.

My cell phone camera self-timer will be working overtime from now on.

Rock formations - tall and beautiful

"A place of retreat from urban life." CVNP is remarkably close to Cleveland!
