The smoke on our tongues

What quote am I vibing? "For millions of Americans, climate change is no longer just a chart or a graph. It's the smoke on our tongues from massive wildfires. It's the floodwater invading our homes and record-breaking hurricanes and heat waves." Jay Inslee

We are officially in a record-breaking hurricane season, and who is working out what he is going to do far out in the Atlantic, but Tropical Storm TEDDY!! Maybe instead of me chasing Teddy this week, Teddy will be chasing me.

We shall see. Every storm kicks up a bunch of trash from the sea. Every storm makes life on the sargasso sea a little more dangerous for our little turtle pals. Every storm is a reminder of how precious life is, and how little control we have over what Mother Nature decides to do.

We do, however, have control over what we do. We do have control over how much fossil fuel pollution we pump into the atmosphere to put things out of balance. Every day is a chance for us to do better for our world. Join me and be part of the solution. Find a movement. Use your voice. We are many. The corporate polluters are few.

Who still does this!?

September 11. Kanner Highway. 5 pounds.

September 12. Bathtub Reef Beach with Brian. 18 pounds.

September 14. Stuart Beach. 4 pounds.

The sun rises, and the sun sets - there is hope!
