I have taken months to convalesce, a month in Pennsylvania chilling with my Dad, and now it is time to get back into the swing of things. Time to be productive! I am feeling inspired and ready. The good news is that, even though I thought I have done nothing over the past three months, I did somehow manage to pick up 113 pounds of trash. It's a good little chunk towards my goal - now, full speed ahead.
I have been reading inspiring stories lately of individuals who have made big changes - Ona Judge, a woman who escaped enslavement by the Washingtons. Elizabeth Nyamayaro, a "girl from Africa" determined to make life better for her people by working with UNICEF. Judith Heumann, who has been fighting for disability rights for decades. I love these women - each had times of doubt, but kept fighting.
Here are the nineteen cleanups that I have achieved (sometimes with Brian, and once with Erin in Pennsylvania!) since the last time I checked in.
